Iger lays out lessons he has learned along the way. He walks you through negotiations Disney took to acquire big companies like Lucasfilms, Pixar animation, and Marvel. How to Win Friends and Influence People– Dale Carnegie

A must-read for everyone. Carnegie initially wrote this book in 1936 and it is incredible how important these lessons still are today. He teaches simple things like how important it is to remember people’s names and ask questions, not to talk, but to learn something. This book will have you rethinking all your relationships and what you can do to build stronger connections.

“You can make more friends in two months by becoming genuinely interested in other people than you can in two years trying to get other people interested in you.”

Girl Wash Your Face- Rachel Hollis

Rachel Hollis is the perfect mix of best friend and hard ass that you need in your life to WAKE UP and make yourself accountable for the goals you set for yourself. Each chapter is crafted beginning with a lie she used to tell herself and then the real reality of it. “I’ll start tomorrow,” “I should be further along by now,” “I’m defined by my weight,” are all lies that Hollis debunks throughout the book. End result: You can do it. Set a goal. Write it down. Wake up earlier. Spend a little time on it every day. Kick ass. Repeat.
